Melinda will join several local, Indie authors for an annual, international celebration where writers and readers can learn about Indie (Independently Published) authors. There will be several activities, including: a workshop from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.; a Write and Sip session during that same time; an Open Mic session from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.; an Author’s Panel from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.; and an Author Meet & Greet from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. to conclude the day. This free event gives the community a chance to meet and support their local authors. Refreshments will be served.
Melinda will have paperback copies of Love, Texas — Population 2 that she will happily autograph for you at the end of the event. Her novel can be obtained for a minimum $10 donation per book, with 100% of the profits going to support My Stuff Bags Foundation, a charity that provides duffle bags stuffed with toys, blankets, and other comfort items to abused and neglected children.

Melinda will be one of many Attending Authors to speak at this Local Author Fair hosted by the library. This free event gives the community a chance to meet and support their local authors. Refreshments will be served.
Melinda will give a ten minute speech about herself, her debut novel, and her writing process. There will be time for the community to visit with all authors after each author has given his or her short speech. Melinda will have paperback copies of Love, Texas — Population 2 available for sale for $15 (cash), that she will happily autograph for you at the end of the event.

Join the party! The library will host a Coffee With the Author event, where readers can get to know all about Melinda and the history behind Love, Texas – Population 2 while enjoying free coffee—and cookies, hot tea, bottled water, and a COOL cake!
Melinda will give a short speech and read passages from different chapters in her novel. There will be a Q&A session after that, then she will sign copies of her book that will be available for purchase for $15 each (cash or charge).

Melinda will speak at the largest independent bookstore in Texas for October’s Local Author Night. This event is free and open to the public.
The author will give a 30-minute presentation in which time she’ll talk about her background and how she came to write her novel, and then she’ll read short passages from her book. There will be time for the community to ask Melinda questions and visit.
At the end of the event, attendees can purchase from BookPeople a paperback copy (or several!) of Melinda’s novel Love, Texas — Population 2, that she will happily autograph for you.

Melinda will join a multitude of local authors, artists, and artisans who are selling their books, arts, and creations at the annual German-style Christmas Market that benefits New Braunfel’s Sophienburg Museum & Archives. (AboutSophienburg)
Weihnachtsmarkt (pronounced Vy-noks-markt) resembles open-air markets in Germany, except in the comfort of indoors (inside the Convention Center). Tickets to this premiere shopping extravaganza usually run about $10, and food and beverages are offered inside while shoppers explore the vast array of unique German collectibles and locally-made gifts available for purchase.
Melinda will be at the market all day Saturday selling and signing her Christian contemporary romance novel Love, Texas — Population 2. This book makes a perfect Christmas gift — so make sure to stop by Melinda’s author table to pick up a copy for a loved one (or one for a present to yourself).
